A.TR and declaration conditions for e-commerce shipments to the EU

The Ministry's statement draws attention to the documentation conditions for products in free circulation in Türkiye to benefit from the preferential regime.

The Ministry of Commerce made a statement regarding Türkiye's position within the scope of the Customs Union following the European Union's amendment regarding low-value e-commerce shipments.

In the statement, it is reported that products in free circulation in Türkiye and sent with an A.TR Movement Certificate can continue to benefit from the preferential regime within the scope of the H1 customs declaration. Studies on other declaration methods and ease of implementation are also discussed.

This news does not mean that every package leaving Türkiye is unconditionally tax-free. E-exporters must confirm the status of the product, the movement document and the declaration method to be used by the carrier before shipment. In operation planning, the existing opportunities in the announcement and the ongoing work should be distinguished.
